Winter fashion can get a bit dreary from time to time. All black, navy blue, olive green... sometimes colour is a necessity (can you tell I'm excited for Summer? :) I was inspired by a YouTube video (I'll leave a link below) and how playing with colours and textures can be used to embrace creativity. I must say that I'm guilty of being concerned about what's "in trend", but at the end of the day fashion is about telling a story and expressing yourself. All in all, wear what makes you happy and have fun with it. Styling doesn't have to be so strict and I'm still learning to accept this.
In this outfit, I mixed and matched a few items. Orange and blue is one of my favourite combination of colours, and surprisingly doesn't get worn that often. I tried to embody my take on a "watered down" avant garde outfit. I honestly, wouldn't wear this piece out, but putting it together helped me smash the uninspired rut I was in :) Thanks for reading.
