Hey! I'm now officially a graduate. :D
I must say that this has been a long-awaited moment. Those 12 years has taught me so much and I know the journey has only begin. A massive thank you to everyone who has made this possible, I really appreciate all the constant support. Because the grad gown was mostly black, I strayed from wearing dark colours to prevent a "one canvas" appearance. Due to this I knew a white dress would be the perfect fit. White is associated with goodness, innocence, and purity. It is considered to be the color of perfection. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive connotation. In conjunction to this, the dress that I chose was very flowy yet still structured. These dresses are more comfortable and perfect for long ceremonies (no one wants their clothes sticking to their sweaty skin for 3 hours haha). For accessories, I wanted to match the black and gold theme (my school colours). I then added black heels, a gold choker, and some small gold earrings. Thanks again. Hey! Welcome back to my fashion blog.
Today's entire outfit was inspired by the beautiful island I am currently on... JAMAICA. The different shades of blue replicates the Caribbean sea, while the pattern of the kimono reminds me of the amazing culture this country possess. Pineapples are of course a necessity; they scream the TROPICS and are of course a great touch to any photo ;) I wanted to keep it simple but still have a lot of different elements involved: the lace top, the blue and white patterned kimono, and let's not forget about these ripped jeans. This white and blue kimono ties in the entire appearance stunningly; it adds a bit of feminism and elegance while still allowing the outfit to have a kick to it. Lastly, I added two accessories: big silver hooped earrings and silver reflective sunglasses. These small accessories add the final touch to this tropical look: EDGYNESS! I'm currently on the beautiful island, Jamaica and I couldn't be any happier. When in such a humid place, styling can be tricky; we all want to look chic while still being cool & comfy. For this outfit I paired very light pieces together: this white top and a printed skirt. This skirt is one of my favourite pieces to wear as it is very structured and flattering. I personally don't like garments sticking to me as it can get quite hot and sticky. I matched the skirt with a white top to keep the look very summery (black tops can appear heavy and also be very hot!!). For accessories I added this simple black clutch to enhance the details in the skirt, silver wedges to add to the effortless and feminine appearance, and a diamond choker because... why not ;) everyone loves diamonds right?
