Hey!
Pastels are a major part of spring/summer styles. They are very light and airy: a reflection of the season's aura. I absolutely love this light purple top as it is very playful and flowy. The polka dots add the perfect amount of detail without overpowering the whole appearance. Since the polka dots on the top were silver I paired the top with some grey jeans. I wanted to avoid heavier/ darker colours altogether to keep the entire look very light and minimal. Therefore, for accessories I added a grey belt, grey flip flops, a silver statement necklace, a silver clutch, and some silver hooped earrings. This look can be worn to any casual event, but as always it can definitely be dressed up a notch. This can be done by easily replacing the flip flops for some grey/purple lace up heels or wedges. Hey!
So this outfit has to be one of my favourites... it's so comfy yet still has statement pieces incorporated. I styled this look around these gorgeous pair of fringe shorts. As festivals are very popular during the summer, I thought this would be the perfect look to feature. These shorts are definitely show stoppers, they add so much definition and dimension to this entire look. Because they were so short, I decided to cover up a bit on top (unless you're hitting the beach of course ;)... I added a simple black tshirt. These brown and gold sandals complimented everything very nicely. For accessories I threw on a gold necklace, big gold hooped earrings, a gold bracelet, brown sunnies and this amazing taupe bag. This look can be styled a million different ways, but it all depends on your taste and the occasion. To dress it up I would add brown heeled booties and a black long sleeve top; to dress it down I would simply replace the sandals for flip flops! Thanks for stopping by. So this weekend was scorching hot! 36 degrees Celsius... perfect for the beach because I definitely couldn't stay on land. This outfit features everything you need for the summer days to come. Here, I wore a floral tshirt that includes a mix of both girly and sporty. The floral pattern keep it quite feminine while the black and white striped neck detailing mimics jersey shirts. White garments are the ideal thing to wear during unbelievably hot days as it doesn't attract heat as easy as darker garments would. I paired this top with white jeans shorts and white sneakers to not only bring out the white in the top but to keep me somewhat cool. This tote bag has to be my absolute favourite because of its size and colour. Muted grey is a popular colour for this summer as it resembles lavender (and pastels are very trendy). This tote can fit everything you may possibly need for the beach (or wherever your heart desires) as it is a reasonable size. It is also reversible to black which is very convenient... 2 in 1! For accessories, I included: silver aviators, silver hooped earring, pink anklet, and silver rings all to aid in completely the overall look. What are your thought on this look? Today's look features these amazing blush toned culottes. I have never owned a pair before, so styling these were very interesting and fun to do. I decided to add earthy tones to surround the piece. This top paired very nicely with the pants as they had the exact same shade in them; they are black and blush Aztec printed. With the base now set, I threw on a brown belt to add detail, and define the waist of the pants even more. For my shoes, I wore some Birkenstock sandals, which gave it a more laid back, dessert look (hence the Egyptian title ;) The accessories that I incorporated were: some dramatic brown earrings, a brown bracelet and a brown headband with my hair slicked back in a low ponytail. This outfit can also be jazzed up to a semi formal vibe, by adding some nude heeled sandals. The red lips compliment this look quite nicely, but a nude would be just as stunning. Yesterday was my Senior Prom and it was such a blast. Everyone looked so stunning: the girls oh so elegant and the boys very dapper. I wanted to go for a simple and equisite look. When shopping for my dress I didn't have any particular style or colour in mind, but when I saw this one I knew I had to get it. I love love love the colour of this dress. The pleated detailing is probably my favourite aspect of this dress, as I have never seen a prom dress with it. The contrast of the tight fitting silky top and the chiffon flowy bottom is simply ingeneous. The cut out back gave this dress a more feminine and flaterring appearance. When wearing no sleeve tops, necklaces are a must. I accessorized with all silver items to keep it clean and modest. I found that a statement necklace took away from the beauty of the dress so I decided to go with a smaller one. This silver clutch was the perfect find for me as it wasn't too big or too small. All in all, I hope you guys have/ had fun and felt gorgeous at your prom. Leave me a comment on you thoughts.
